Senado Historico
Senado Histórico (Historical Senate) is a committee that aims to recreate some of the most decisive and controversial moments in Latin American history. Unlike other historical committees, delegates will not represent countries within an international forum, but rather senators, political leaders and influential figures within the senate of the country corresponding to each topic. This format will place delegates directly inside the internal political tensions, ideological divisions and institutional crisis that shaped each period drastically. Within CACMUN, delegates will be required to debate domestic policy and respond rapidly to evolving political situations while defending the interests of their assigned factions and political movements. This committee demands for delegates to have strong historical understanding, strategic thinking and persuasive speaking in order to successfully navigate highly polarized political environments.
