Imperial CRISIS
The Imperium in Ruina Crisis Committee places delegates at the center of the most convulsive political movements in the history of the ancient world. The Roman Republic was built on centuries of shared governance, senatorial authority and constitutional tradition, but it had been pushed to its breaking point by decades of civil war, institutional decay and the relentless concentration of power among its most ambitious men. What had once been a system with the goal of preventing any single individual from rising above the Republic had been unable to contain the forces it had itself unleashed.
Within CACMUN, this expert crisis committee will challenge delegates to navigate the chaos that follows when a civilization's historic political order collapses under the wights of its own contradiction. This committee will operate under the crisis arc format, where delegates will represent senators, military commanders, and key political figures, each pursuing their own objectives as Rome’s future is uncertain. Imperium in Ruina is designed for delegates who can think critically under pressure, argue from a historically grounded position, and adapt to an environment where every decision carries consequences that extend far beyond the chamber.
