UNOOSA’s primary goal is to make the best of technological developments and opportunities offered by space exploration. Thus, it works to provide nations with resources, such as training, workshops, conferences and knowledge-sharing portals, while also generating opportunities for countries to expand their space capabilities, such as fellowships and competitive programmes. Additionally, it is also instrumental in international space policy, helping countries to draft or revise national space law and policy in line with international normative frameworks on space. This is particularly important as more and more actors enter the space arena, and also relevant regarding international cooperation regarding matters that concern multiple nations.
