La Javeriana
This year, CACMUN XIV will take place at Universidad de la Javeriana, serving not only as our host but also as our sponsor for the model, offering us one of the most enriching environments for learning and debate. With its incredible facilities, Universidad de la Javeriana provides the perfect environment to carry out high-level discussions. The campus with almost 400 years of history, counts with numerous facilities, each with its unique charm. La Javeriana embodies the values that we aim to foster within CACMUN - academic excellence, leadership, and a sense of community. With the help of the magnificent staff of this university, we will achieve a greater level of academic excellence. Through one-on-one learning experiences with professors, delegates will have the unique opportunity to embark even deeper into their topics, fostering curiosity. Enhancing their understanding of global issues, while also encouraging them to critically analyze arguments and information. Allowing them to form more powerful arguments, surrounded by a new layer of knowledge.

GIRA
In order to broaden the model’s international perspective an innovative partnership with the Georgetown International Relations Association (GIRA) was established. The support of such organization, \will enhance the international affairs education CACMUN offers and be materialized both within the model but also in the preparatory phase. A combined effort from the secretariat, along with GIRA students, has enabled the hosting of valuable training sessions and leadership workshops for presidents and delegates. This being a tool to ensure that all participants are ready to tackle the model and have vigorous bases upon which to grow from. Such alliance then strives towards a wider and transcendental purpose - granting scholarships for low-income students from Colegio CASFA to participate in CACMUN, as well as GIRA workshops. In addition, within CACMUN, GIRA members will personally assist the model and provide interest-based topic seminars. The cumulative effect of the previously mentioned opportunities will signify a better preparation and increasing availability of resources. All with the bigger purpose of shaping your experience rich in knowledge and with diverse tools, that transcend the traditional preparations.

Debatir para Construir
Partnered communities:
CACMUN partnered with Colegio Anexo San Francisco de Asis (CASFA), a school located in El Codito, situated in los Cerros Nororientales de Usaquén, functioning from 1985. The bonds between our schools will keep expanding, not only inside the model but also outside, building a bridge between both communities.
Pilot program recap:
Last year, CACMUN partnered with Colegio Anexo San Francisco de AsÃs (CASFA), to increase the diversity of voices and opinions in our model. 20 students from CASFA who demonstrated passion and interest for MUN topics, received a full scholarship that allowed them to participate in CACMUN XIII. These students, coming from different socioeconomic backgrounds, added depth to the debates, offering fresh perspectives on global issues that might not have been considered otherwise. With the help of this partnership, CACMUN became a model that truly transcended the classroom, fostering a more inclusive, thoughtful, and impactful dialogue further, enriching the debates, and pushing delegates to think more critically and empathetically about the challenges facing both Colombia and the world. The successful collaboration between CASFA and CACMUN left a long-lasting legacy and impact on students, that goes beyond academics, contributing to a space where all delegates could feel comfortable sharing their different perspectives and encouraging students to be open-minded and gain knowledge from each other.
